It’s finally Saturday and I thought I’d share with you my favourite red wine. I just have to say that I don’t know much about wine and what determines if it’s good or bad, but I have come to find that I really like this one. It’s called Barefoot Merlot.
This Californian wine is perfect for any occasion and especially when eating red meat. It is a decadent fruit filled combination of red cherry, boysenberry and plum. I am not a fan of very strong wines and I am happy to announce this wine is not. It one truly has the perfect combinations of berries that give it a nice round flavour. (Source)
So if you’re looking for a nice red wine to enjoy next to your meal this Saturday, then I would absolutely recommend Barefoot. It is quite cheap and in 2007 it was voted wine brand of the year.
ReplyDeleteThe way I find a good wine is...it costs less than a fiver (great if it's reduced from 8.00 or more) and it dosn't make my cheeks pinch when drinking the first mouthfull haha! I usually like Australian, but I'm really not too fussed. I've never seen this one, I'll look out for it :)x
ReplyDeleteGreat blog!!! I love travelling and discovering different places and ways of life!
ReplyDeleteIn Italy there's a lot of good wine!My grandad made wine!I have lots of beautiful memories about it!

I never drink wine :-o So far I haven't found any wine that I really like, maybe because most people prefer dry wine & I only like it when it's sweet...If I were to choose, I'd take beer over wine (well, I'm German after all *lol* We drink alot of beer I guess :-D).
ReplyDeletelove red wine,
ReplyDeleteI have to try this!

It sounds delicious, and I definitely want to give it a try! I love wine, but became even more interested when we took a road trip to Tuscany last year. We visited a family who owned a private villa and made their own wine. We tasted their newest release right from the barrel and their olive oil was equally incredible! When I'm back in the States I will definitely search for this Barefoot Merlot!
