1 year and 6 months

Kjell Steinar and I have been together for 1 year and 6 months today. I cannot believe how quickly time is flying by. It seems like it was yesterday that I saw him for the first time and our wonderful adventure began. I never thought a relationship could be like the one we have, because it truly is amazing.

Last year he lived in Norway and I lived in London. We spent the first 9 months of our relationship like this and I was counting down the days until we could see each other every day. And it feels amazing to be able to see this wonderful man every day and to be with him. He came to visit me last year quite often and exactly one year ago we were spending this day together by having dinner in Chinatown and then we went to see the musical We Will Rock You. This year, now that we both live in London, we are going to dress up before going out to dinner at Preto and tomorrow we are going away for a little adventure. I am not going to reveal where, that is going to be a little surprise. I am very excited. As a gift for each other we have bought a coffee machine together! We have been talking about it for a while and now it really was about time and we are both so thrilled.

I cannot wait until our date tonight. I have been such a girl about it lately and I picket out a dress and shoes days ago. He is more than I dreamed of and I cannot wait to spend more time with him. Ever thine, ever mine, ever ours.

Lock Love

Lock your love forever in one of the most romantic cities in the world

As you all know I was in Paris a couple of weeks ago with my lovely boyfriend. We had a great time walking the streets of Paris and every night ended with a romantic dinner with wine where we would talk about the day and whatever came across our minds.

When I wrote about Paris here on my blog I said I had a little surprise that I would post on Valentine’s Day, and as promised I’m writing about the most romantic thing we did in Paris.

Along Pont des Arts you will find the place in Paris where love is all around. It is a bridge where people from around the world have locked their love, literally with a lock on the bridge. During the week before our departure I read a lot about Paris and I came across an amazing blog, Anna with Love, and she introduced me to this. I instantly thought that this sounded so romantic and thought: how romantic would it be if my boyfriend and I could lock our love on our first visit to Paris together?

I completely fell in love with this bridge and the idea of locking your love in Paris. I spent a while walking up and down the bridge reading some of the locks and there were a lot of people who had made quite an effort with their locks (just look at the picture with Dima and Olya's lock, it's amazing). I could not help but smile, but my favourite moment was when Kjell Steinar and I found the perfect spot on the bridge for our lock. So the next time we’re visiting Paris we will have to go back to that bridge and see if our lock is still there in the sea of love.

To my beloved

Today Kjell Steinar and I have been together for 14 months, so I want to dedicate this contribution to him.

For the past 14 months you have always been there for me, even though we were so far apart from each other for so many months. When we first met I would never have guessed that we would end up together, because I lived in London and you were moving to Bodø. Our lives and worlds could not seem further apart, but you touched something inside of me that made me not wanting to let you go. I have never met anyone like you, and I wake up everyday with a smile on my face knowing that you are a big part of my life.

We have experienced a lot over these months, and I am grateful for every minute of them. You have taught me so much and shown me what it is like to be a part of your life and your world, and I am loving all of it. A day without you seems like forever, and I should know considering we have been too much apart from each other. But then again, because of that I appreciate every minute I am spending with you, and I am looking forward to what the future has for us. Because if there is one thing I am certain of, that is that I want to be a part of your life. I love you, Kjell Steinar, don’t you ever forget that.
Ever thine,
Ever mine,
Ever ours.
